Agent Overview

Neon is the queen of chaos and displacement. Her kit can be used to take angles that no other agent can and requires your opponents to make flick adjustments to account for her movement. Neon’s ultimate is especially strong because she can use her dash during this ability, enabling her to outplay her opponents completely. For Neon players, you should look to use her speed and rapid deploying utility to increase the pace of fights and surprise your opponents.

Strengths

• Neon’s Fast Lane is a fast-deploying wall that enables you to reposition while under its cover.
• With her ability High Gear, Neon can quickly close gaps and take slide peeks that completely throw off your opponent’s crosshair placement.
• Neon’s Ultimate enables her to be elusive with movement and takes a lot of space for her team. This ability is also great for eco rounds, making her an economically efficient agent.

Weaknesses

• For an inexperienced player, Neon’s kit can be overwhelming. With her speed and displacement abilities, her utility can cripple players who aren’t comfortable with her mechanics.
• Neon’s kit is loud and meant to move fast. Other agents may provide more value for players who prefer a slower pace.
• Neon’s Fast Lane can be entered by enemy players, giving them a very easy gunfight.

Skill Breakdown

Ability 1 (C) – Fast Lane

FIRE two energy lines forward on the ground that extends until they hit a surface. The lines rise into walls of static electricity that block vision.

Ability 2 (Q) – Relay Bolt

INSTANTLY throw an energy bolt that bounces once. Upon hitting each surface, the bolt electrifies the ground below with a concussive blast.

Signature Ability (E) – High Gear

INSTANTLY channel Neon’s power for increased speed. When charged, ALT FIRE to trigger an electric slide. Slide charge resets every two kills.

Ultimate Ability (X) – Overdrive

Unleash Neon’s full power and speed for a short duration. FIRE to channel the power into a deadly lightning beam with high movement accuracy. The duration resets on each kill.

Tips and Tricks

Tip #1 – High Gear into Action

Neon’s Signature Ability High Gear can be used to get her into any position very quickly. One great use of this ability is to simply peek common angles faster than most players will be ready for. To utilize this tip, the player piloting Neon will need to ensure their aim is on point because this ability will put them directly in the action very quickly. Finally, before using this tip in a real game, it should be practiced in the Firing Range or Deathmatch.

Tip #2 – Overdrive to Overload

Neon has the ability to singlehandedly ramp up the pace of any round. When her abilities are used in conjunction with one another, they can be very powerful. For this tip, start by using Neon’s ultimate ability Overdrive. Then place a Fast Lane wall to get a relatively safe passage into the bomb site. After that, if any information has been gathered about the location of enemy players, Neon can use her Relay Bolts to concuss them and then slide out and take an advantageous fight against them. Keep in mind when using this ability, Neon loses the ability to use her weapons for a moment.
