Legend Overview

ClassDifficultyTier List Rank
AssaultMediumA Tier

Ash’s main draw is her ability to instantly teleport herself and her teammates into a fight or out of harm’s way. Her ultimate is the fastest deploying movement skill in the game, making her a great pair for slower legends such as Gibraltar and Caustic. Any player looking to play Ash should focus on their game sense so they understand the best times and placements for her ultimate.

Strengths

  • Ash has excellent synergy with slower legends because she can teleport them far distances in a pinch with her ultimate ability Phase Breach.
  • Her passive is a lot stronger than most players think, allowing her to scout enemy locations and where players have fallen in combat.

Weaknesses

  • Ash’s ultimate is a one-way ability. This means that she and any teammates who follow cannot travel back through the portal when she activates it.
  • Her ultimate takes a second to deploy and is only deployable in a straight line. That makes it easy to follow and shoot someone as they exit the portal.

Skill Breakdown

Class – Assault

Ash is a member of the Assault Class. Assault Class legends can carry 20 extra ammo per stack (5 extra for Shotgun, 12 for Sniper). Assault Class Legends can also access Assault Bins. These give you ‘smart loot’ weapon attachments. This includes one guaranteed scope every time.

Passive Ability – Marked for Death

Ash can see the location of death boxes on her map. Additionally, she can ping these death boxes to show their exact location to her team.

Tactical Ability (Q) – Arc Snare

Ash deploys a snare that damages and tethers a single enemy if they’re caught in its radius.

Ultimate Ability (Z) – Phase Breach

Ash tears open a one-way portal to a targeted location. The portal can be accessed by any players who go to its entry point.

Tips and Tricks

Tip #1 – Lock the Door Behind You

Ash’s arc snare can block off doorways and entryways that enemies could use to push you. This is specifically useful when you’re looking to heal, or you’re hoping to hold enemies back to buy time for your teammates. Keep in mind the snare will only affect one enemy player.

Tip #2 – Carpooling to the Fight

Ash’s ultimate ability Phase Breach is a powerful tool that can rotate, escape bad spots, and push enemy teams. One great use for this ability is to surprise an enemy team by portaling your entire team onto them. To execute this tip, look for the spot you want to portal to and then have both of your teammates stand right next to you.

Then, use the portal, and your entire team will be ported through. Remember that you will be the first player teleported, and your teammates will have a small delay of about 2 seconds, so this ability should not be used to teleport directly into a team’s line of fire. Instead, look for an advantageous spot that puts you behind your opponents catching them off guard.
