Lifeline Quick Guide – Abilities, Tips and Tricks for Beginners
Legend Overview
Class | Difficulty | Tier List Rank |
---|---|---|
Support | Easy | D Tier |
Lifeline is a legend whose entire kit is designed to help her teammates and bring them back into the fight. Sadly, in the last year of changes, Lifeline hasn’t seen much attention and remains relatively weak as a result. Her passive Combat Revive lost its shield, and that was where most of the power with Lifeline was derived. Lifeline’s ultimate Care Package is nice for restocking on meds, upgrading attachments, and getting a better EVO; but most of the time there’s a legend who can provide more on a squad than Lifeline in the current state of the game.

Strengths
- Lifeline can resurrect her teammates with her drone, allowing her to protect them as they’re being resurrected.
- Her care package has smart loot. It will only deliver you things you can use, making it a great way to get geared up.
Weaknesses
- Lifeline’s tactical ability D.O.C Heal Drone is slow healing and difficult to benefit from during combat situations.
- Lifeline’s passive Combat Revive was nerfed and no longer protects teammates being revived. This means that if enemies have a line of sight on allies being resurrected, they can be shot and finished.
Skill Breakdown
Class – Support
Lifeline is a member of the Support Class. This allows them to access special Support Bins, which grant healing and survival items. If you have a member of the Support Class on your team, you can craft expired banners at a replicator.
Passive Ability – Combat Revive
Lifeline deploys her D.O.C to revive teammates. Once activated, Lifeline is free to move as she pleases as the drone does the revive action.
Tactical Ability (Q) – D.O.C Heal Drone
Lifeline deploys her D.O.C to heal teammates. The drone heals 8 health per second and lasts 20 seconds.
Ultimate Ability (Z) – Care Package
Lifeline calls in a care package full of high-quality defensive gear. Lifeline’s care package consists of healing items, EVO shields, knockdown shields, helmets, and attachments.
Tips and Tricks

Tip #1 – Think Before You Revive
One major tip for any Lifeline players is that you should not revive your teammates in the open if enemies are nearby. The reason for this is that she lost her revive shield on this ability, and when teammates are being picked up by the drone, they cannot hold up their knockdown shield to protect themselves. So if enemies are nearby in line of sight, they can finish your downed teammate, meaning you’re forced to resurrect them at a Revive Beacon.
Tip #2 – Covering with a Care Package
Late game you probably won’t need much from Lifeline’s ultimate Care Package, but you can use it as a cover if you’re trapped in the open. If you find yourself lacking cover in the late game to defend yourself, you can call down this care package and use it to hide behind while you’re in the open. This is a great way to keep this ultimate relevant, as it cannot be destroyed and provides a decently wide obstacle for opponents to find angles to shoot around.
