The center of the island has undergone a significant transformation. Last season’s shiny and neon aesthetic has given way to a tropical and wild new look. POIs like Anvil Square have been overtaken by the jungle, transforming into new locations such as Shady Stilts, Creaky Compound, and Rumble Ruins. These locations hold secrets that players will need to uncover throughout the season.
Jungle Dangers and New Items
The new jungle biome is not without its dangers. A series of plants have begun to sprout throughout the jungle. These aren’t your average flora, though. This season also introduces new weapons to the Fortnite arsenal. These include the thermal DMR, a high-powered rifle with thermal imaging capabilities; the flapjack rifle, a versatile weapon perfect for close to mid-range combat; and the kinetic boomerang, a unique weapon that can hit enemies around corners.
Epic has also unvaulted the drum shotgun and the combat SMG, offering more variety in your arsenal. You can also find a new type of bug with the wild wasp jar. This item releases a swarm of insects when thrown. Hit your enemies with it, and watch as the swarm takes them down.
Overpowered Mythic Items
The Spider-Man mythics and the Attack on Titan collab items may be gone, but Epic has ensured that you still have an overpowered Mythic item in your arsenal. The Cybertron Cannon is here, and it’s ready for action. This powerful new weapon fires high-energy blasts that can decimate opponents. Blast your way to victory with this powerful new weapon.
Gameplay Enhancements
Epic has revamped the rail system into vines, allowing for easier rotation around the map. You can also slide through mud for a speed boost and gain camouflage for a short period. This new mechanic adds a layer of strategy to the game, allowing for stealthy approaches or quick escapes.
New augments have also been added to the game. These include thermal vision and health regeneration when riding animals, gaining wild wasp jars when eliminating opponents, and faster slapping when using grind vines, grind rails, zip lines, or ascenders. The Swift Shotgun Reload reality augment makes reloading your shotgun faster than ever.
The Battle Pass
The new Battle Pass for this season includes Paradise Meowscles, which becomes available later, and the collaboration with Transformers, with the Optimus Prime tier 100 skin. One of the most anticipated new skins of this season is the brand new Dr. Sloan variant. However, her whereabouts remain a mystery.
