Tips and Tricks

Tip #1 – Acting as the Clone

One tip for Yoru players looking to outsmart their opponents is when Yoru acts like his clone. What this means is that Yoru walks in a straight line with the same gun out, not moving his crosshair and walking through his opponents. This play is very dangerous because opponents (especially if they’re inexperienced and lower level) may just shoot the Yoru player. When this tip does work, though, it can yield massive results and lead to a quick and easy round win.

Tip #2 – Combo Crashing

Yoru’s abilities, Gatecrash and Blindside, can be used very well in conjunction with one another. To perform this tip, activate Yoru’s Gatecrash ability and wait for it to arrive at the desired teleport location. Then, when ready to activate the Gatecrash, Yoru should deploy his Blindside ability and instantly activate Gatecrash to teleport. When performed properly, Yoru will teleport, and the audio will be masked with the audio of his Blindside flash. Be careful not to teleport too far away, or the audio will not be masked very well.

Tip #3 – Flashing From the Rift

When using Yoru’s ultimate ability Dimensional Rift, remember that you can still use your other abilities. One way to reap the benefits of this ability is by locating an enemy player in your ultimate, throwing a flash, and then immediately coming out of your ultimate in an advantageous position. This is one of Yoru’s easiest ways to get a pick after using the ultimate to gain information around the map.
